Rudy Giuliani Sounds Off on Michael Cohen: ‘Believe Me, He Can’t Handle Jail’
President Donald Trump‘s current lawyer trashed his former lawyer on Friday, insisting Michael Cohen — who is likely going to prison for years — “can’t handle jail.”
According to Giuliani who spoke with The Daily Beast, the Cohen sentencing memo indicates that the feds are “fucking angry with” Cohen.
He added: “Believe me, he can’t handle jail.”
Giuliani also said he feels sorry for Cohen and called his behavior “sad.”
Speaking to CNN on Friday, Giuliani also reportedly said that its “BS” to say Cohen was talking to people within the White House in 2017 and 2018. He also claimed Trump only talked to Cohen because he felt sorry for him.
.@RudyGiuliani told @cnn tonight that it’s BS to say that Cohen was talking to people close to the White House in 2017/2018, says the president only talked to him because he felt sorry for him.
But source of mine saw Cohen at Mar-a-Lago in March – and Cohen is not a member…

Giuliani’s comments were in response to Michael Cohen sentencing memo that recommended “substantial” prison time for Cohen.
Trump claims that memo — which identifies Individual -1 aka POTUS as someone who coordinated with Cohen to commit campaign fraud — “totally clears the President.”
Totally clears the President. Thank you!

The White House also put out a statement slamming Cohen and insisting “the government’s filings in Mr. Cohen’s case tell us nothing of value that wasn’t already known.”
