Rumor has it Adele is in talks to perform at the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show. If it works out, she’s an awesome get. The “Hello” singer headlined Glastonbury this year and she’s currently on a completely sold out tour through North America; she’s the biggest thing in music.
While joining the ranks of icons including Prince, The Rolling Stones, and Beyoncé is a perfect fit and according to The Sun, “football bosses are desperately trying to land” her for the event, her nerves may get in the way of the deal actually going through. The singer is very open about her stage fright, and about 115 million people tuned in for last year’s halftime show.
The NFL is, however, undeterred. A spokesperson told The Sun, “There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organisers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up.”
