Joe Biden Predicts Republicans Will Distance Themselves From Trump After Midterms

Former Vice President Joe Biden predicted that Democrats will pick up the House and possibly flip the Senate after tonight’s midterm elections.

When a reporter asked him today about his previous “40 seats and win back the Senate” prediction, Biden said, “I’ll be dumbfounded if we lose the house — dumbfounded.”

“I think we’ll pick up up to six governor seats, in critical states. I still think there’s a shot of us winning the Senate,” he added.

Later in the interview that was caught by NBC, Biden predicted that when this election is over, some Republicans are “gonna’ see them distancing themselves — like a number of them did — from Trump in terms of his harsh rhetoric and divisive politics.”

As for the odds that Trump questions the legitimacy of the race if it goes against the GOP, the former VP guaranteed the president will “challenge the legitimacy of the vote.”

“He’s still looking for that million crowd that was there for his inauguration, for God’s sake — he’s an interesting guy,” Biden noted, before calling today’s elections a referendum on “choosing hope over fear, this is about choosing our friends over enemies overseas, this is about truth over falsehood.”
