Trump: We’re Having Talks with North Korea about ‘Reinstating the Summit’

On Friday, just one day after the White House announced that the North Korea Summit was canceled, President Donald Trump tweeted out that the Summit may not be canceled after all.

“We are having very productive talks with North Korea about reinstating the Summit which, if it does happen, will likely remain in Singapore on the same date, June 12th., and, if necessary, will be extended beyond that date,” Trump wrote.

The reason for the change of heart was not immediately clear, however, earlier today there were reports that the Singapore advance team did not actually cancel their planned trip and were still working on logistics, making it possible that the Summit may actually be back on if not on June 12 but at another yet to be determined date.
