60 Minutes’ Jeff Fager Suddenly Extends Vacation as Investigation Into Misconduct Allegations Wraps Up
60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager made an impromptu decision to extend his vacation just nine days after Ronan Farrow‘s bombshell New Yorker exposé on sexual misconduct allegations against him and CBS CEO Les Moonves.
The update came from CNN’s Brian Stelter during Sunday’s broadcast of Reliable Sources, where he released an exclusive statement from CBS News, which said Fager would wait to return to work until the probe into the accusations ends.
“Having heard the investigation will be wrapping up soon, Jeff has decided to stay on vacation,” a spokesperson said.
“That’s notable because a few days ago, he told me he’d be back on Monday,” Stelter said of the unexpected change of plans.
While Fager denied stories that he allowed harassment to occur and even committed it himself, CBS hired a firm to take a look at the allegations, Stelter noted, saying their work is expected to conclude this month.
