Conservative columnist Ann Coulter appeared opposite Joe Kernen on CNBC’s Squawk Box on Thursday, where she joined the chorus of condemnation for Ted Cruz‘s dramatic speech at the Republican convention.
The Texas senator chose not to give Donald Trump his endorsement last night, and conservatives across the board have shared Coulter’s sentiment about him committing “political suicide” by rejecting his party’s choice. Kernen opined that Cruz should’ve shaken his “personal delusions” by now after losing the 2016 primaries.
Coulter, who trashed Cruz plenty of times throughout the election, jumped on board soon enough, saying “I’m beginning to understand why Ted Cruz has been hated by everyone every place he’s ever been from kindergarten to the United States Senate.”
Coulter went on to say that when Cruz started to embrace similar positions to Trump, he should’ve wised up and looked for ways to attach himself to Trump’s rise to the top. Coulter said she was surprised to see an establishment figure like Marco Rubio swear loyalty to Trump instead of an outside like Cruz, and that’s when she reached her sauciest interview hit on the senator:
“Rubio comes out and as tepid as it may be, does endorses Donald Trump. It’s Cruz who is a little bitch who can’t get over it.”
