President Trump‘s first 100 days come to an end on Saturday, and so of course today begins a week of evaluations on how he’s doing thus far.
ABC’s Jon Karl spoke with George Stephanopoulos on This Week today, saying that “by the standards that he set for himself during the campaign, there is no question that he has fallen dramatically short.”
He brought up the 100-day action plan Trump released during the campaign, in which he said he would take action on issues ranging from term limits on Congress to “direct[ing] the Secretary of the Treasury to label China a currency manipulator” to cancel “every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama.”
Now, that being said, Karl did note that Trump has certainly “shaken up Washington” and that he has kept a lot of what he promised about rolling back Obama-era regulations. (And filling the vacant Supreme Court seat was also one of his first-100-days promises.)
He also told Stephanopoulos that there will probably be some more personnel shake-ups in the White House soon enough…
