As MSNBC’s Al Sharpton explained Thursday evening, there are some things about this week’s election results that just don’t make sense. In several states, voters approved measures to raise the minimum wage but also voted in Republican senators who oppose a wage hike. In Colorado, a personhood amendment failed while Republican Cory Gardner beat Democratic Senator Mark Udall.
And on top of that, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) is set to chair the Environment and Public Works Committee despite openly denying the existence of man-made climate change. wait, i get it now. the gop is playing opposites. “Wait, I get it now, the GOP is playing opposites,” Sharpton declared.
“Hey, I can play too,” the continued, before snapping his fingers and literally flipping upside down on the screen.
“I love opposite day. I’ll sleep in late, wear blue jeans, and maybe even eat a cheeseburger. It will be a great day,” Sharpton said. “But until then, did Republicans think we wouldn’t know they’re fooling the American people with their opposite day games? Nice try, but we gotcha.”
