On CNN this morning, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright came to Hillary Clinton‘s defense on her emails by saying they aren’t gonna kill anyone.
Chris Cuomo asked her about people concerned that Clinton’s foreign policy legacy involves a disastrous Russian reset, an Iran deal that doesn’t do enough, and an email scandal “that shows she can’t be trusted.”
On the email scandal, Albright said, “She has said she made a mistake, and nobody is gonna die as a result of anything that happened on emails.”
She contrasted that, plus Clinton’s “rational” national security policy, with Donald Trump‘s “dangerous” rhetoric and his affinity for strongmen like Vladimir Putin.
