Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman spoke with CNN’s Brian Stelter this morning about how the media should be talking more about Donald Trump‘s policies and bullying tactics, and less about the polls.
Goodman made it clear she really thinks polls, especially the flood of them in the news these days, are a complete waste of time and resources that could otherwise be used to investigate candidates’ records.
Stelter said they do have value in showing what percentage of the electorate agrees with Trump’s message. Goodman said, “You find that out with an election.”
She said that Trump’s rhetoric sends a shudder through the spines of Americans, especially minorities, who don’t like his attitude.
“He uses the bully pulpit,” she said, “to bully the most defenseless and powerless people in our society.”
