Anderson Cooper Suggests Trump Watches Too Much Cable News: He Watches Me ‘More Than My Mom’

Anderson Cooper visited Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, where the two talked about the current state of the White House’s relationship with the media.

President Donald Trump‘s complaints with the “dishonest” media are well-established, though the mogul seems to have a particular hatred for CNN. While talking about this, Cooper noted that even though Trump might call the network “fake news,” there’s enough evidence of Trump’s fixation to show that the Commander in Chief still watches the network on a regular basis.

“He watches CNN all the time, this is not in dispute at all,” said Cooper. “He has texted about people I am interviewing while I am interviewing them… He watches me on CNN probably more than my mom watches me.”

Meyers and Cooper went on to discuss whether Trump’s TV watching habits are appropriate, and whether he has reached the point of watching too much cable news. “If he had a Nielsen box it would be even better,” the CNN host said, though he did say that Trump probably has more important things to do these days than watching television.
