On Thursday, the folks at Morning Joe took a look at a new ad by Restore Our Future taking on those on the left — most notably Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen and HBO host Bill Maher — for their comments on Ann Romney, all just in time for Mother’s Day.
Host Mika Brzezinski brought on Barnard College president Debora Spar to discuss President Barack Obama‘s upcoming graduation address at the women’s college.
Panelist Gillian Tett pointed out that current polling show Obama has a lead when it comes to women’s issues, with 52 percent versus Romney’s 32 percent. Earlier on in the show, however, a different poll showed that Romney had a lead among a certain segment of women — those who are married.
John Heilemann noted the political implications of the President’s decision to speak at a women’s college, calling college-educated women “one of the pillars of the new Democratic coalition.”
