Fox’s The Five tonight tackled the brewing war of sorts between President-elect Donald Trump and the media figures talking about what his presidency means for a free press.
Eric Bolling highlighted recent statements by CNN’s Brian Stelter, Christiane Amanpour, and NBC’s Chuck Todd about Trump’s relationship with the truth and the press. Bolling said the thought of a Trump presidency is throwing “even these veteran journalists off their game.”
Greg Gutfeld tackled Stelter’s commentary about how Trump’s lies are different and argued that while Trump does lie, his are “nowhere near as big” as lies in a media about certain big issues.
Bolling asked, “Are they that angry that there’s a Trump presidency?”
Juan Williams argued that Trump’s lies really do matter and said that “Trump only wants buddies” in the media.
Lisa Boothe said it’s great that Trump is fighting back against the media because the scrutiny on Republicans has always been “more amplified” and people are tired of the bias.
