Arsenio Reacts to Brian Williams On-Air Apology

Jimmy Fallon taking the Tonight Show reins revived much discussion about the ever-expanding late night wars, and this week Arsenio Hall was unhappy that in a late night report from Brian Williams, an on-screen graphic included the all-white Brady Bunch of late night but left him out. Hall roasted Williams and even got Suge Knight to intimidate him a bit, and fans actually called in to NBC to complain. Well, last night Williams apologized on-air, and Hall took it in stride.

Hall said “it’s been a tough week” and admitted he got a little concerned when Suge Knight took the humorous threat a little too seriously in the line delivery. He expressed gratitude for all the people who “called NBC last night on my behalf” and showed the apology.

And Hall holds no ill will, he called Williams a “very funny guy.” And that’s not even to mention his rapping.
