Art of the Deal Writer Warns Trump Far Worse Than Media Says: ‘The Republic Is at Enormous Risk’

Art of the Deal co-author Tony Schwartz says he’s taking on a new job: being Paul Revere.
The writer who collaborated with President Donald Trump to put together his infamous book is now warning the public about the threat of the president himself.
“He lives now inside his own version of reality almost 100 percent of the time and that reality has almost nothing to do with reality as the rest of us know it,” Schwartz told CNN’s Brian Stelter during a Reliable Sources appearance Sunday.
Schwartz was confident in his assessment of Trump’s mental state given that he worked alongside him for 18 months, and also has a background in the study of psychology, having interacted with psychiatrists attempting to get inside the mind of the president.
Sounding the alarm on his administration, Schwartz was concerned even the media hasn’t showed the full picture, and said, “I believe the republic is at enormous risk that goes far beyond what most journalists are comfortable saying and what the general public therefore it doesn’t really fully understand the danger we face.”
On his mission to amplify the warning, Schwartz noted he’s been driven to engage in Twitter more, and take more on-air interviews.
“I’m trying to be Paul Revere,” he concluded.
