Avenatti on Michael Cohen Interview: ‘He Wants the President to Pay His Legal Bills or He’s Gonna Flip’

Michael Cohen‘s big interview this morning was followed up by, yes, a Michael Avenatti interview.

The longtime personal lawyer for President Donald Trump sounded a little less bullish on POTUS, telling George Stephanopoulos, “To be crystal clear, my wife, my daughter and my son, and this country have my first loyalty.”

Well, Avenatti spoke to MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson this morning and said, “This was Michael Cohen trying to send a message to the President that he wants the President to pay his legal bills or he’s gonna flip.”

He said Cohen should stop “playing games” and actually share what he knows with the American people, claiming that Cohen is “running out of money.”

However, Avenatti added, “the President is notoriously cheap, doesn’t pay his own bills, let alone the bills of those around him, and I think he made a strategic mistake months ago by putting this guy on an island.”
