Beck: Moderate Muslims Acting Like ‘Abused Spouses’ in Not Condemning Radicals
Glenn Beck joined Megyn Kelly on her show tonight to talk about ISIS, America’s role in the world, and Islam. Beck called ISIS “modern-day Nazis,” but at the same time, he’s wary of the United States getting involved militarily overseas.
He told Kelly the U.S. hasn’t learned from past mistakes in meddling in the Middle East, and the best thing to do is to just “educate ourselves.” Beck spoke of brutal Islamic extremists, and Kelly asked him if he believes all Muslims share such extremist beliefs.
Beck said no, because “there are millions of Muslims that are behaving very consistently as an abused spouse would.” That meaning, he said, if they speak up they run the risk of being beheaded themselves.
Beck also briefly addressed his refusal to appear on Bill Maher‘s show to discuss Islam, because while he would like to have that conversation, he doesn’t want to do it on Maher’s terms, because “he just wants applause, he just wants the conflict.”
