Glenn Beck made a return visit to Fox News on Tuesday night, chatting with Megyn Kelly about Andrew Cuomo inviting “extreme” conservatives to leave New York. And Beck, who wrote an open letter to Cuomo about his remarks, couldn’t help but think that Cuomo sounded an awful lot like George Wallace railing against Martin Luther King Jr. and his allies.
Beck was astounded that Cuomo would dare suggest it’s near-impossible to be able to “live with people with different points of view.” Kelly added that while New York is a blue state, it had a Republican governor right before Cuomo came in and he should be “respecting minority rights.”
Beck told Kelly that Cuomo “sounds a little like the governor of Alabama” when he said that Dr. King should “get out of the state.” He asked, “We can’t have a free exchange of ideas because you don’t believe we belong here?”
