Ben Stein Calls Mitch McConnell Confrontation ‘Disgusting’: It’s Like Brown Shirts in Early Nazi Days
TMZ caught up with Ben Stein on Saturday and asked him to weigh in on Mitch McConnell being confronted in a restaurant in Kentucky.
Stein said the whole thing was “disgusting.”
“Disgusting…mob rule,” Stein began. “Antifa is becoming like the brown shirts in the early days of the Nazi Party.”
He added that he considered the confrontation “as close to violence as I want to get.”
Then, when asked by the TMZ reporter if the confrontation actually amounted to democracy at work, Stein was adamant it was not.
“No..no..no,” Stein said. “Democracy in action is voting.”
On Friday, McConnell and his wife Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao were dining in Louisville when a group of men approached them.
“Why don’t you get out of here? Why don’t you leave the entire country?” one man yelled.
The senator’s to-go box was also thrown out the door.
