Bernie Goldberg: After Years of Being ‘Stenographers,’ Media Gets ‘No Credit’ for Turning on Obama
It seems as though the media has done a full 180 this year on President Obama, going after him on everything from the NSA to health care. Bernard Goldberg sees this as a positive development, but as far as he’s concerned, the liberal media that carried the president’s water for years “deserve no credit for finally doing their job.”
Goldberg told Bill O’Reilly that the media never bothered to look into Obama’s “if you like your plan you can keep your plan” claim, simply just wrote it down like they were stenographers and not journalists.
Goldberg added that he believed Obama may have lied, though O’Reilly suggested it’s likelier Obama just didn’t read the law and rationalized all the chaos going on as being for the greater good.
Goldberg did agree on that point, saying the liberal mentality is all about paternalism and convincing themselves that they know what is best for everybody else, no matter how resistant the rest of the country is to their ideas.
