Biden Grumpily Clarifies His Comments About Beating Up Trump: ‘Go Back and Read What I Said’
Former Vice President Joe Biden has had quite enough of the media’s and President Donald Trump‘s shenanigans.
After a meeting with students from Parkland, Florida, Biden told reporters: They’re going to change the [gun] culture.”
“They have no agenda. They have no special interest. They’re going to change their parents. They’re going to change their parents’ attitudes, who maybe thought this wasn’t an issue that was of great consequence,” he said. “I think it’ll change.”
Biden would likely have been thrilled to leave it at that, but a reporter asked: “Would you like to respond to the president’s tweet?”
The president tweeted that Biden “is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me… with physical assault… He would go down fast and hard, crying all the way.”
Biden gave a quick “no,” and the reporter pressed: “Would you really fight the president, sir?”
Biden then turned to her, looked her straight in the eye, and said: “I was talking about high school. Go back and read what I said. I said, high school.”
