Bill Maher: Adrian Peterson Orgy ‘Reminds Me of the Tea Party’

The conservative tea party movement feels targeted by the IRS. NFL player Adrian Peterson stands accused of using his charity to pay for a hotel room in which he had an orgy. The two are similar, according to HBO Real Time host Bill Maher.

“They both illustrate something screwed up about the tax code,” Maher wrote Wednesday on his blog, apparently a place where everything makes sense with enough of the right substance use.

Maher’s animal-balloon logic is this: Tea Party groups have sought out tax-free status for their organizations, which seemingly and inappropriately alarmed the IRS. Peterson’s charity is tax exempt. Maher doesn’t like the tea party people or that Peterson was allegedly able to use charity money to host an orgy.

Tah-dah. A giraffe.

“The simple solution is to stop asking the IRS to make value judgments about what’s a legitimate charity called ‘Patriots for the Violent Overthrow of the Negro Usurper’ and what’s just a family sex party, like the kind the Palins would crash,” Maher finished. “Make them all pay taxes.”

Peterson is also facing charges of child abuse which Maher may address in his next blog post.
