Bill Maher to Ralph Reed: Why Would Evangelicals Support Trump, ‘The Least Christian Man Ever’?

Bill Maher spoke with Faith and Freedom Coalition chairman Ralph Reed and brought up the level of Evangelical support for President Trump.

After confronting him on churches paying taxes, Maher asked, “Why do you think Trump’s support among the Evangelicals is so solid?… Because he does seem like the least Christian man ever.”

Reed disputed that characterization and said his personal feelings on the President changed after meeting him. He said, “Every time he told me he was gonna do something, he did it. His word was his bond.”

Maher said the President is a “giant liar,” but Reed cited the successful Neil Gorsuch nomination as a promise kept.

Maher shot back, “You forgive all the other lies because the one you care about, he kept.”

He continued on to confront Reed about Trump’s lies (invoking Satan at one point).
