Billy Eichner Encourages Young People to Vote at the AMAs: ‘The Biggest Election of Our Lifetime Is Happening’

During the American Music Awards tonight, Billy Eichner and Kathryn Hahn took a moment to encourage young people to get out and vote.

“I want to say one thing that’s very important to say tonight,” Eichner said. “Young people of America, the biggest election of our lifetime is happening!… Tonight is the final night to register in 20 states in this country. Please grab your friends, tell them to vote!”

“Now is the time!” he continued. “If you believe in equality for women. That’s right. For people of color, for the LGBTQ community. If you believe that climate change is real and that we need to do something about it. Don’t let anyone tell you your vote won’t count!”

As Eichner spoke he even referenced Taylor Swift‘s recent endorsement of Tennessee Democrats, saying, “You can go to Vote.gov, like Taylor Swift told you to, and go vote right now.”
