Wolf Blitzer repeatedly tried to get DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz on the record this afternoon about whose side she’s on in the fight over health care between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
Clinton has been aggressively going after Sanders, accusing him at last night’s debate of wanting to tear up Obamacare and start over. Sanders pushed back while still touting his proposed Medicare for all plan to ensure more Americans receive proper health care.
Blitzer asked Wasserman Schultz today whether she sides with Clinton’s “pragmatic” approach or Sanders’ “idealistic” one. She deferred, saying she’s “very proud” to have candidates fighting for health care as opposed to the Republicans trying to take it all back.
Blitzer tried again, and again Wasserman Schultz insisted that both of them are in agreement about wanting to “build on and improve” Obamacare.
Blitzer said “let me try a third time” and asked her if she supports Sanders’ Medicare for all plan. Guess how she answered.
