A Donald Trump spokesperson insisted today that everyone has been taking Trump’s attacks against a Hispanic judge out of context, even though Trump literally said, “I’m building a wall. He’s a Mexican!”
Yes, even though Trump made it abundantly clear he believes the judge in the Trump University case is biased against him because he’s Hispanic, Katrina Pierson told Wolf Blitzer that his comments were taken way out-of-context and “there’s nothing to apologize for.”
Blitzer said, “Did you see the interview that he did with Jake Tapper? Nothing was really out of context. It was very clear what he was saying.”
Pierson insisted Trump was really just raising questions about the judge’s associations and conflicts, not his race.
You know, except for when he emphasized that his Hispanic heritage was an “absolute conflict.”
