Bob Schieffer Says Good Riddance to 2016: Campaign Left ‘Unsavory Stain on Everyone’
Bob Schieffer delivered a commentary on CBS this morning basically summing up how most of the country views the election as it comes to an end.
He admitted that when he cast his absentee ballot, “I didn’t feel big or strong, I felt anxious or worried.”
Schieffer believes this not only to be the worst campaign of his lifetime, but a new metric by which we’ll judge future campaigns (i.e. the biggest political gaffe since 2016).

He lamented how little this campaign focused on actual solutions, which preceded a clip of Hillary Clinton talking about the “deplorables.”
Schieffer concluded, “This campaign left an unsavory stain on everyone and everything it touched, including the process itself.”
