Bossert told Garrett that Trump “weighed the totality of the circumstances and the sheriff’s history of service” in his decision, saying “I don’t think that took up more than a minute of his time on Friday night.”
When Garrett brought up Schumer’s tweet saying the timing was about trying to “hide” it, Bossert responded, “No, well, he’s clearly wrong.”
