Boston Bombing Suspects’ Uncle: ‘They Do Not Deserve To Exist On This Earth’

Part of the coverage of the ongoing manhunt for the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing, Dzhokhar Tsarnaez, included many media outlets speaking with those who knew him and his brother, Tamerlan, the other suspect who was killed in a firefight last night. CBS spoke to their uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, who called the Tamerlan a “loser,” and added “they do not deserve to exist on this earth.”

Tsarni said he was “absolutely shocked” to see the brothers associated with the bombing. They immigrated to the United States around 2000 or 2001, he said, and have lived at the same Cambridge address since then.

“The people who did this, they do not deserve to even exist on this earth,” Tsarni said. “They do not deserve to exist on this earth.”

Asked what could have motivated the brothers to execute such an attack, he repeatedly replied, “I got no idea.”
