Bret Baier Covers Lawsuit and Allegations Against Fox News, White House on Special Report

On Special Report tonight, Fox News’ Bret Baier addressed the big news concerning his network.

To recap, Rod Wheeler is making some serious allegations about that now-retracted Seth Rich report from Fox that he was personally involved in and White House coordination to, as the lawsuit says, “try and steer away the attention that was being given about the Russian hacking of the DNC e-mails.”

Sean Spicer confirmed that he met with Wheeler and Ed Butowsky, but denied any White House involvement in this story. Sarah Huckabee Sanders did the same at today’s briefing.

Wheeler also claims that he was misquoted in the report.

Baier briefly covered the news tonight and read a statement from Jay Wallace, the president of news for Fox News:

The accusation that FoxNews.com published Malia Zimmerman’s story to help detract from coverage of the Russia collusion issue is completely erroneous. The retraction of this story is still being investigated internally and we have no evidence that Rod Wheeler was misquoted by Zimmerman. Additionally, FOX News vehemently denies the race discrimination claims in the lawsuit — the dispute between Zimmerman and Rod Wheeler has nothing to do with race.
