Bret Baier Presses Conway on Trump’s Past Claims He Has ‘Nothing to Do With Russia’

Fox News’ Bret Baier spoke with counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway tonight on Hurricane Harvey, North Korea, and several other important issues, including the recent new Russia reports.

With the recent news that Michael Cohen emailed a Kremlin spokesman about a real estate deal and reporting that President Trump himself signed a letter of intent for the deal, Baier asked Conway about Trump’s insistence on multiple occasions that “I have nothing to do with Russia.”

Conway said that nothing came of it, saying “no deal was made” and Moscow doesn’t have a Trump Tower now.

But since the deal was being talked about at some point, Baier said, “you would think that ‘nothing at all’ might not be the accurate statement about that.”

Conway proceeded to criticize the investigation, Hillary Clinton, and some of the Democrats on congressional committees investigating the matter.

She also pointed to media under-coverage of Debbie Wasserman Schultz‘s former IT aide and the charges against him.
