On Tuesday night’s Kelly File, Brit Hume told Megyn Kelly that there was such an uphill battle to get Obamacare passed in the first place, there was an obvious “temptation” on the part of the White House to fudge the numbers in order to have just enough votes to pass it.
Hume referred to the “valley of the shadow of death through which the president and his health care program are now traveling,” and said there was a long-running “suspicion” about a deliberate cover-up. Kelly wondered how President Obama could still not know about the overwhelming issues to come with over three years to get the program ready.
Hume said this is going to have significant political consequences for the Democrats and the only way for the White House to turn the tables is for the site to get up and running, people getting new insurance policies that they like, and it being done in sufficient numbers to overshadow all the overwhelmingly negative stories about the health care program so far.
In other words, there’s no “immediate relief” on the horizon.
