Charlamagne Calls Out Shannon Bream For Fox News Coverage of Kamala Harris’ Weed Remarks

Charlamagne tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee, hosts of The Breakfast Club, appeared on Fox News for an interview with Shannon Bream in the wake of a story that casts them as influential players in the 2020 Democratic primaries.

The Fox News host conducted a fascinating interview with three of New York’s finest but got a taste of Charlamagne’s often brutal roasting.

Bream played a clip of Sen. Kamala Harris appearing on the Power 105.1 morning show, in which the California Democrat said she smoked weed in college. Fox News seized on her additional comments that she listened to Snoop Dogg and Tupac as evidence she was lying (the rappers hadn’t yet released albums when she was in college.)

DJ Envy explained to Bream that the conversation “got a little blurry.”

“Fox News, y’all did that,” said Charlamagne. “Y’all took that out of context, y’all started that.”

“I can tell you it wasn’t me, but I can always double check on that,” Bream replied.

The Breakfast Club hosts have called out Fox News before over “Reefergate.” In an appearance on Ari Melber‘s MSNBC show, DJ Envy said Fox News “absolutely, positively lied” about Harris’s comments.

Charlamagne — who was sporting a “Jesus Was an African” hoodie, likely in a swipe at former Fox News host Megyn Kelly — also said in the interview that he was not a fan of Bernie Sanders‘ comments on reparations during an interview with The Breakfast Club.

“I didn’t like his answer at all,” Charlamagne said. “He was kind of avoiding the question a little bit,” DJ Envy added.

“I think it’s important to have solutions,” Angela Yee said. “Instead of dodging the question.”

The hosts also addressed Hillary Clinton‘s famous remarks on their show that she carries around hot sauce in her bag, as well as whether they would have President Donald Trump on the show.
