“It’s nice to be on the chair, not on the couch,” Sheen said of his new role as an anger management therapist.
Sheen also sent GMA anchor Robin Roberts his well wishes given she’s currently taking a leave of absence from the show in order to focus on recuperating from a bone marrow transplant. “I heard she couldn’t be here,” he told fill-in anchor Elizabeth Vargas, “but my heart is with you and I hope for a speedy recovery.”
Sheen said he wished he wouldn’t have been “so angry” and regrets having been “so vocal” about people he probably should have kept mum about. He added that people were right to have been worried about him, and that he is “grateful that we’re able to sit here and talk about it, and you’re just not talking about me because I’m not here.”
He sidestepped the issue of custody when it comes to his young children with actress Denise Richards, but did say that the job of father is his most important.
