On Friday night, CNN’s Chris Cuomo said President Donald Trump and the White House are clearly throwing around “obvious distractions” and he advised viewers, “Don’t be a sucker.”
He first showed Trump’s rather blatant flip-flop on whether he knows Matt Whitaker, the man he named to be acting attorney general.
“Trump knows him,” Cuomo said. “He’s stepping away because he knows Whitaker is a problem.”
But he also showed Trump denying that the video Sarah Sanders spread (from InfoWars) on the Jim Acosta moment at this week’s presser was doctored. Cuomo said, “InfoWars manipulated it. In fact, you get too many breaks for lying.”
He called out Sanders for “stoop[ing] to copy that jackass on InfoWars,” asking, “That’s what our White House has become?”
Cuomo also agreed with everyone noting that there’s clearly something to Trump’s attacks on three black female reporters this week.
And for Trump to scold reporters by talking about showing respect for the White House and the presidency, Cuomo said, is beyond hypocritical.
