Chris Hayes Confronts Conway Over Trump Calling FBI Clinton Investigation ‘Corrupt’
Chris Hayes faced off with Kellyanne Conway tonight and twice pressed her on the serious charge Donald Trump has been making that the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton has shown serious “corruption.”
Hayes told Conway it’s pretty serious for Trump to say “there was collusion there, it was corrupt and rigged” and not simply an issue of poor judgment.
Conway simply said that today showed another example of the “rigged corrupt system”––that Clinton has a “different set of rules for herself than the rest of us.”
Hayes asked whether Team Trump would be “willing to accept” Comey concluding that these new emails have nothing serious in them.
Oh, and on issues of transparency, he also asked her about those tax returns and when they plan on doing another press conference. Conway called those questions “predictable, but a little bit funny that that’s what we’re conflating today.”
When Conway brought up the Bill Clinton–Loretta Lynch airplane chat, Hayes once again felt the need to emphasize to her again the seriousness of the allegations being made.
