Cable news ratings, December 6, 2010:

•MSNBC’s ratings were down across the board Monday night, with Chris Matthews‘ 7 p.m. version of Hardball even beating both Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell and finishing second only to Countdown’s Keith Olbermann, with 228,000 viewers 25-54 compared with Olbermann’s 245,000.

•CNN’s Anderson Cooper had a solid night, coming up first among all CNN shows in terms of viewers 25-54, even outperforming the high-profile edition of Larry King Live with guest Al Pacino. AC360 was still in third place compared to Fox’s Greta Van Susteren, but very close behind MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell.
