Chris Wallace Grills McMaster Over Trump RTing Anti-Muslim Videos: ‘Why Is That Useful?’

During his interview with H.R. McMaster this morning, Fox News’ Chris Wallace confronted the National Security Adviser over President Trump retweeting unverified anti-Muslim videos from the far-right group Britain First.

The retweets got widespread condemnation, from 10 Downing Street to Breitbart, and on Fox News Sunday this morning, Wallace asked, “Why did President Trump send out those videos?”

McMaster replied, “President Trump is the best judge of why he did that, but I know it was his intention to highlight the importance of creating safe and secure environments for our citizens, to make sure we have the right laws in place.”

Wallace again made a point of noting just how fringe and radical Britain First is, again asking “why is that useful” for the President to be sending out.

McMaster deferred on the retweets and instead reiterated that the administration is committed to combating terrorism.
