Christie: If Cruz Doesn’t Endorse Trump, ‘He’s Less of a Person Than He Presents Himself to Be’
Chris Christie threw out a pretty clear warning to Ted Cruz today about getting in line with Donald Trump.
It is widely expected that when he speaks at the RNC tonight, he will––shockingly––not endorse the man who attacked his wife’s looks and egged on gossip trash about his dad’s involvement in the JFK assassination.
But Cruz is receiving outside pressure to do so by other Republicans. Chris told CNN’s Jake Tapper today that Cruz has an obligation to adhere to the pledge he signed.
Christie, whose own subservience to Trump has been the subject of much ridicule, mocked Cruz for “the way he was kissing Donald Trump’s rear end” in the first part of the campaign before dramatically turning on him.
“And if he doesn’t [endorse],” Christie concluded, “then he’s less of a person than he presents himself to be to the American people.”
