Christine Blasey Ford’s Lawyer Says Her Client Has ‘No Regrets’ About Coming Forward With Kavanaugh Allegation
The lawyer for Christine Blasey Ford says that their client has no regrets about coming forward with her allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
“Have you heard any regrets from her about coming out the way she did?” CNN’s Dana Bash asked, in the pre-taped interview that aired Friday night.
“I don’t think she has any regrets,” Ford’s lawyer Lisa Banks replied. “I think she feels like she did the right thing and this was what she wanted to do which was provide this information to the committee, so they could make the best decision possible and I think she still feels that was the right thing to do. So, I don’t think she has any regrets.”
Bash also asked the lawyer how Ford responded when President Donald Trump mocked her during a rally.
“She was upset by it. It was very hurtful, as it would be to any woman or survivor, who had the courage to come forward — only to be mocked and belittled by anyone really, but certainly the president of the United States,” Banks said. “It was very upsetting and very hurtful.”
