Chuck Todd Reportedly Replacing David Gregory as Early as This Sunday’s Meet The Press

According to CNN’s media reporter and Reliable Sources host Brian Stelter, NBC will likely announce Chuck Todd as the new host of Meet The Press, replacing David Gregory, as early as Thursday afternoon. And the transition could happen to fast that Todd will host this coming Sunday’s edition of the show.

Rumors of Todd’s ascension to NBC’s Sunday morning seat have long been circulating, with Politico’s Mike Allen saying as much in his Playbook report earlier this week. Todd currently host MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown each weekday morning and serves as political director for NBC News. He is a consistent presence on Meet The Press, offering political analysis and polling data to viewers.

Stelter cited “people with direct knowledge of the network’s plans” who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to comment about the transition on the record. He continued to speculate on Twitter on what the whereabouts of Gregory and NBC News President Deborah Turness mean for the probably transition:
