CNN Aviation Expert: We Should Increase Search for MH370 ‘Back over Land’

No one knows where MH370 is. No one. Maybe it’s in the ocean, maybe it was hijacked and on land somewhere. Maybe that debris off the Australian coast is from the plane, maybe it isn’t. Who knows. But Friday night, a CNN aviation expert suggested that there should be a refocused search for the plane on land as opposed to in the ocean.

During a discussion on the plane tonight, Les Abend (who’s very skeptical that the aforementioned debris is from the plane) told Anderson Cooper, “My contention is that maybe we should increase the search back over land.” When asked to elaborate, he explained that the ELTs on the plane did not activate and are designed to do so on contact with salt water.

Even he ends up being wrong, even if it’s a longshot, this kind of analysis from an expert in the field is far better on CNN, than you know, psychics and talk of black holes.
