CNN president Jeff Zucker reportedly tore into former CNN contributor Donna Brazile in an editorial meeting Tuesday, calling her collusion with the Hillary Clinton campaign “disgusting.”
The network announced Monday that they had cut Brazile loose after hacked emails revealed she provided questions to Clinton in advance of the CNN Democratic presidential debate and a CNN town hall.
“We are completely uncomfortable with what we have learned about her interactions with the Clinton campaign while she was a CNN contributor,” a CNN spokesman said in a statement.
According to the Huffington Post, Zucker reiterated that statement in a company-wide phone call the following day. “I have no tolerance for her behavior or that kind of behavior,” Zucker reportedly said, calling it “unethical.”
He stressed that Brazile did not receive the debate questions from CNN. According to previous CNN statements, Brazile received the questions from TVOne host Roland Martin and after coincidentally meeting a debate questioner at a charitable event held by CNN.
