CNN Guest Calls Out Fellow Panelist in Heated Clash: You’ll ‘Go to Any Length’ to Defend Trump
Liberal radio host Bill Press and conservative political adviser Paris Dennard spoke to CNN’s Brianna Keilar about the sordid affairs President Donald Trump and his administration currently find themselves in.
At the end of the day, he’s the president of the United States and the president makes the decision. He gets the advice and counsel from those around him. On domestic policy, international policy, foreign affairs, he makes the final decision,” Dennard said by way of defense.
“This speaks to a problem, Brianna,” Press replied. “Nobody knew what the hell he was going to say before this meeting. John Kelly wasn’t even in the White House at the time… The whole place is out of control.”
Keilar shifted gears to talk about an early morning tweet Trump sent amidst all the chaos about – of all things – Alec Baldwin‘s “mediocre” impression of him on Saturday Night Live.
“That was sent at 4:00 A.M. People are worrying he is unraveling when they see things like this,” Keilar said.
“He had a very early day today,” Dennard explained. “He was at Billy Graham‘s funeral service. He has been leading it well with dignity and honor. And quite frankly, Darryl Hannah is a lot funnier.”
(A word to the wise, Paris: Darrell Hammond is a former cast member of SNL who often impersonated Trump. Darryl Hannah is an actress best known for the 1994 Tom Hanks rom-com Splash.)
“You have to admire somebody like Paris, who will go to any length to defend anything Donald Trump does,” Press said. “I want to believe that the president of the United States has more important things to worry about even at 4:00 A.M. Than Alex – as he calls him – Baldwin.”
