CNN presidential historian Douglas Brinkley talked this afternoon about Hurricane Harvey, the lessons to be learned from Katrina, and President Trump‘s return to Texas today.
Brinkley noted the importance of Trump meeting with first responders and going to shelters, saying, “I think he’s coming back this time to probably try to be a little more human than he was. He was too much of a bureaucrat last visit.”
He also said that the President shouldn’t “play games” about where his $1 million donation is going to and just tell people where it’s being given to, otherwise he gets an “unnecessary wave of criticism.”
