Today’s press briefing is (once again) off-camera, and with the big news about Donald Trump Jr. today, CNN’s Jim Acosta said the White House may want to reconsider that policy.
He told Wolf Blitzer, “I think this is one of those circumstances where perhaps the White House should reconsider this policy of having this briefing off-camera today.”
Given the magnitude of the Trump Jr. meeting and newly-released email chain, Acosta said that they should “want these answers on-camera.”
He also told Blitzer that the argument for the off-camera briefings––the White House doesn’t want to overshadow the President’s message––don’t make sense today because President Trump “has no public events today.”
