CNN’s Ana Navarro described Steve Bannon‘s 60 Minutes interview as “eerie” during a panel discussion on The Lead this afternoon.
In talking about Bannon’s talk of a GOP “civil war,” former Hillary Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon said people seem to be exaggerating the former White House chief strategist’s influence.
For all the talk of Bannon being an “evil genius,” Fallon told Jake Tapper, “he came off mostly as evil but not so much of a genius.”
Navarro weighed in and said, “I thought the interview was eerie, frankly, and it was horrifying to think that somebody that is so obsessed––so downright nativist and evil could have been in that White House with the ear of the President for so many months.”
“It’s sad,” she added, “to think that this guy wants to wage war with other Republicans.”
