CNN’s Kate Bolduan asked tonight if Republicans are really just going to “walk away from health care…and move onto tax reform.”
President Trump said that tax reform is the next big agenda item he wants to get done, and Bolduan said that’s no easier than health care.
Doug Heye argued that right now, the GOP needs to “lick their wounds, walk it off, and live to fight another day.” For as he pointed out, it wasn’t the Democrats that led to the health care bill being pulled, it was Republican infighting.
Bolduan asked if the health care defeat will make tax reform easier or harder.
Jeff Lord said it might be a little harder, but went on to say that Trump wrote not just The Art of the Deal, but also The Art of the Comeback, so he’s not out for the count yet.
