Nixon has vowed not to replace McCulloch. However, Crowley struggled to get Nixon to outright voice confidence in the prosecutor on her show. Nixon noted that McCulloch was “democratically elected,” and then said, “I am confident that, with the dual investigations, that ultimately justice will be served here. …I am hopeful that everyone is going to live up to those duties and do a good job moving forward.”
“I can’t get to you say you’re absolutely confident Robert McCulloch can do that?” Crowley said.
