On Thursday morning, just an hour before President Obama’s expected announcement on a “keep your plan” fix for the Affordable Care Act, CNN’s Dana Bash reported a few key details of the proposed legislation: People who’ve had their plans canceled may retain that existing plan for one more year; and insurance companies are required to tell people renewing those plans of all the alternate options and benefits they’ll lose in the process.
Bash also reported that state commissioners will be able to opt out of the “fix,” allowing certain states to continue on with the plans being canceled.
We will have the live stream of Obama’s announcement HERE at 11:35 a.m. ET.
